About Us

Santa Monica Tennis Club (SMTC) is a friendly, member-run tennis community based in Santa Monica. We organize open play, Live Ball sessions, and occasional tournaments and social events, announced to members in the newsletter.

Where we play

Many SMTC activities take place at Christine Emerson Reed Park in Santa Monica.

Important: The tennis courts at Reed Park are City of Santa Monica public courts. They are not owned by SMTC. For club activities, SMTC rents court time from the City.

Reserving courts / Lessons

SMTC does not reserve courts for individuals and does not provide tennis lessons. Please see the City of Santa Monica’s tennis website for court reservations and their contact information.

USTA has information on tennis coaches and programs for beginners, juniors and adults.
